SUMMARY:KARAN! at BAILE F**K VOL. 005
DESCRIPTION:Genres: Bass\, Baile Funk\n\nWe’re bringing Brazil to San Diego
for our biggest baile funk party yet.\n\nHeadlining the night is KARAN!\,
coming in from Brazil with a sound rooted in funk\, mandelão and Favela B
ass. Known for pushing Brazilian funk into heavier and more experimental c
lub territory\, KARAN! has released music across some of electronic music’
s most respected labels and built a sound centered around impact\, movemen
t and unmistakably Brazilian energy.\n\nJoining him from San Francisco is
renowned selector QUEENIE\, the DJ and curator behind Mostly Cloudy\, one
of SF’s most exciting platforms for baile funk\, bass and forward-thinking
club music. Her sets move freely across Brazilian funk\, ghetto tech\, Mi
ami bass\, house and beyond\, built first and foremost for the dancefloor.
\n\nRounding out the lineup is our resident curator B.Joyce\, the driving
force behind the BAILE F**K series and a selector whose sets move through
baile funk\, electro\, club and hip-hop. Across each edition\, she has hel
ped shape the series into a space for adventurous dance music\, new artist
s and sounds that have yet to find a regular home in San Diego.\n\nWe’re a
lso opening up the first slot of the night through an OPENER DJ CONTEST —
giving one artist the chance to join the lineup and open the party. Full c
ontest details will be announced on Instagram.\n\nOctober 18 marks the fif
th edition of our monthly series\, and we’re making this one our biggest y
et. We’re taking over EQ for a celebration of Brazilian funk\, bass and cl
ub music\, bringing international sounds together with San Diego’s growing
dance community. This is shaping up to be a special one\, so we recommend
locking in tickets early before the room fills up.\n\nOur mission is to s
park music discovery and cultivate joy through the shared celebration of d
 ance.\n\nMinimum age: 21+\n\nCost: $15+\n\nPunto Latino · https://www.punt
