Mi Historia, Mi Telar: Mi Historia

Mi Historia, Mi Telar is a collaborative visual art and performance project by Indigenous Maya Mam immigrants in East Oakland, developed with NAKA Dance Theater and East Side Arts Alliance. The project blends personal narratives, movement, and traditional weaving practices from Xjan Xwan At, using textiles as a healing medium. It celebrates indigenous cultural traditions while addressing collective experiences of the immigrant community.
